There are numerous ways to measure and evaluate the success of a company, with most typically
focused on how much money the company is making. Strategic has been marching to a different
drumbeat since its inception. As with most entrepreneurs, our founder wanted to start a great
company. However, his measurement for great was not defined by financials, but rather, “The
true measure will be the caliber of people Strategic attracts and the passion they bring to
providing outstanding service to the client.”
It’s our people and the passion they bring to Strategic that sets us apart from our competitors.
While it’s true our award-winning fundraisers are backed by superior analytics, creative strategies
and intensive training, their passion for our clients' missions can’t be trained, imitated or
feigned. Accordingly, our fundraisers have a clear sense of purpose and awareness of donor
stewardship, recognizing that they're serving as ambassadors for our clients’ causes.
Since we don’t have any commercial, for-profit clients, many of our employees specifically join
Strategic because of our clients and their mission. As a result, fully one-third of our corporate
staff and three-quarters of our call center management staff began their career at Strategic at
an entry-level position and have worked their way up within the company.
Another significant benefit for our clients as relates to our people – they’re all here in the
USA! They all speak fluent English; they grew up hearing about our clients and their causes; they
connect readily with donors, as they share much of the same culture and beliefs, and when it comes
to sounding friendly and conversational over the phone, our fundraisers are being real. They’re all
based in the Midwest, the heartland of America, where that just comes naturally. They don’t have to
be trained to be that way. They grew up with it.
